Jay Carpenter is a Project Manager with Sachse Construction who has nearly 30 years of diverse experience in the construction industry. Growing up, Jay would often help his father, a superintendent, on jobsites, and once Jay started high school, he worked for a fire suppression company gaining a valuable trade perspective. After high school, Jay went on to study engineering at Arizona State University and pursued a career in the construction industry. Since then, Jay has led the construction of various projects such as a 124,000 square food packaging plant and a $52,000,000 addition to an existing hospital. Jay has managed many tenant improvement projects in the retail, food service, and healthcare sectors. As a Project Manager, Jay is responsible for the overall success of projects including establishing and maintaining communication among all team members. He is also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of best practices, which include trade partner contracts, meeting schedule milestones, and budget control. Jay identifies and mitigates project challenges, working with the project team to address and solve any challenges that arise in the pre-construction and construction phrases. Jay understands that consistent communication among all parties is an essential element for building trust and establishing transparency with the client and the project team.
Jay currently lives with his wife in Cornville, Arizona, a suburb of Sedona. He enjoys the outdoors and in his free time, he likes to hunt, fish, and go off-roading in his jeep.
