Quicken LoansDetroit, Michigan

Sachse Construction recently completed construction of the new Quicken Loans world headquarters in Detroit, MI. The 250,000 square foot office occupies four floors in the existing Compuware Building, and is in the process of being certified as a LEED Silver project. With a demanding schedule, our team was challenged to complete nearly $12,000,000.00 of work in just over 90 days in order to accommodate the company’s highly publicized move downtown. Construction required intense coordination and planning, and included upgrades to the building’s mechanical and electrical systems, and the creation of a dynamic new space for the 1,700 employees making the move.

Working closely with the building’s management, our team ensured that the occupied facility remained uninterrupted during construction. All material deliveries and debris removals were scheduled at night using the building’s two (2) freight elevators, and the 400 subcontractors employed by the project used them during the day to access each floor.

Designed by Architect Gail Von Staden, the space was built to encourage creativity, openness, communication and collaboration. The Quicken Loans culture is reflected in the bright colors, numerous open spaces, low interior walls, and unique innovative design combined with the latest technology tools implemented throughout.
