Unique Office Build Out
Overcoming Obstacles

Sachse Construction completed an 11,000 square foot office buildout for Detroit Venture Partners at 1520 Woodward Ave. in Detroit, Michigan. The office project consisted of multiple high-end finishes including thousands of feet of reclaimed wood, and over five miles of wood strips along the ceiling. The Sachse Construction team also cut an opening on the third floor for a staircase surrounded by metal railings to better connect the two floors. This feature allows employees to easily move about the two floors and better interact.

Upon construction commencement, the project team developed a hoisting mechanism to overcome the obstacle of no freight elevator on site. Materials were then hoisted onto the second and third floors through windows in the back alley. Scaffolding was constructed in the alleyway to keep pedestrians safe throughout the course of construction. The finished space proved to be a great fit for the Detroit Venture Partners team as they’re able to easily collaborate and enjoy their unique surroundings each day.
