Work Hard, Play Hard

We have been repeatedly named one of Metropolitan Detroit’s 101 Best & Brightest Places To Work. This dynamic, challenging work environment pairs competitive compensation and benefits with ongoing opportunities for professional development and community involvement, thanks to the efforts of the active outreach committee. Comprised of employees from Sachse Construction, the committee constantly looks for ways to give back to the community and offer assistance.

Sachse Construction has sponsored numerous golf outings that raised more than $600,000 to benefit charities such as the Bear Hug Foundation, which sends children to summer camp; Make A Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to terminally ill children; the Michigan Humane Society; and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. In 2009, our employees participated in the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk — raising money for cardiovascular research, and each October our employees and tenants participate in Lee Denim Day to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research — raising a combined average of $16,000.

From holding collection drives for hunger relief, clothing, Toys for Tots and the Head Start program, to sending teams to Paint The Town and Habitat for Humanity sites, to adopting local families and Hurricane Katrina victims, sponsored clothing drives and collecting winter coats, hats and mittens — we are committed to making a difference in the hometown community, and beyond.
